Reverend Elizabeth River is an ordained Interfaith Minister, wedding officiant, and spiritual director.

Rev. River believes in love and kindness as foundational to all spiritual practice and ordinary life. Her mission is to guide people toward that love which is at the center of their being. And her great joy is helping couples create wedding ceremonies that celebrate that love, and officiating them!

Interfaith Ministry is based on the belief that we are all one people, created and loved by a divine, yet undefinable being. There are many different religions and practices on our planet, yet we are all connected with one another; we share this one planet which is our home.

Elizabeth River studied and was ordained at The Chaplaincy Institute for Arts and Interfaith Ministries in Berkeley, California. (www.chaplaincyinstitute.org) Since her ordination in 2004, she has performed weddings, house blessings, pet blessings, memorials, and has given several sermons in local churches. She has also taught courses in spirituality and the twelve steps. She has a practice in spiritual direction, working with both individuals and groups. She writes articles on everyday spirituality.
